Privacy notice
Your privacy at RepByte
Last updated July 27, 2026
RepByte is an ambient fitness app for short movement breaks. This notice explains what information RepByte processes when you use repbyte.app, why it is used, and the choices available to you.
Information we process
To run the app and save your progress, RepByte processes a pseudonymous account and device-session record, your settings, and the activity you create in the app, such as sessions, exercise prompts, completions, skips, and timing.
If you choose Sign in with Google, Google provides RepByte with a stable Google account identifier and may provide your verified email address. We use this only to sign you in and connect your existing RepByte progress to your account. RepByte keeps your RepByte handle and generated avatar separate from your Google profile, and does not receive or store your Google password.
Our servers and service providers may process technical information needed to operate and secure the service, including IP address, request logs, browser and device information, language, time zone, display and capability information, network-quality hints, and the RepByte app version.
RepByte uses Plausible Analytics to measure aggregated page visits and engagement. Through our first-party analytics route, Plausible receives the page URL, referrer, basic HTTP device information, and source IP address needed to process those measurements. The analytics route does not forward RepByte session cookies, account credentials, exercise choices, sessions, or activity records to Plausible.
Why we use it
- Provide, secure, and maintain RepByte and your saved progress.
- Recognize your signed-in account and prevent misuse or automated abuse.
- Understand aggregate use of our public pages and improve RepByte.
RepByte does not request precise location, contacts, microphone, camera, browsing history, or health records. It does not use canvas, audio, font, or WebGL-renderer fingerprinting probes.
Retention
Account and activity information is retained while needed to provide the service. When browser-context telemetry is enabled, raw source IP is retained for up to 30 days, a derived network hash for up to 90 days, and detailed browser/device context for up to 13 months. Coarse daily aggregate counts without client identifiers may be retained indefinitely.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share information only with providers that operate RepByte on our behalf, including hosting and infrastructure providers and Plausible Analytics, or where required to protect the service, comply with law, or respond to a valid legal request.
Your choices
You can sign out of Google in RepByte at any time. You can also stop using the app and clear its site data in your browser. For questions or a request about personal information associated with your account, email [email protected].
Changes to this notice
We may update this notice as RepByte changes. The current version will always be available at this address, with its update date shown above.
